I've tried again with a block booking on the Premier Inn website (as well as chasing 'phone calls).

The numbers are:

Double Rooms=11

Twin Rooms=3

Single Rooms=2

Rooms TBA=3, which may actually be another 4 or 5 rooms depending on numbers

Peaople=31 confirmed, plus 12 or so TBA

No, not confirmed yet - I was just working out the figures - it's a shame that the hotels don't want to be bothered getting back to me as this is a sizable block booking for them.

emails are easy to ignore, a registered letter isn't. Just a passing thought that head office might just wake up and do something if they get a registered letter with such a large booking request.

I did another online block booking request on Sunday evening via the Premier Inn website. Says they'll give a reply within approx 48 hours, so if nothing by tomorrow, I'll try 'phone again. I'll also draft up a letter as you suggest, anything has to be worth a try.

Feel like taking our business elsewhere now, but little fits the bill for so many. Secure parking is one of the biggest issues.
