Hotel the night before the start 2012

Are we all in need of a Plan B yet Nick or are you still doing battle on Plan A?

Still on plan A - waiting on a call back.

Will be chasing the hotels again this week, especially Premier Inn for the Swindon Central (Kembrey Business Park,
Larch Close, Wilts
SN2 8YS).


We know this hotel is good, the car park has 24 hour cctv all over it and the Brewers Fayre restaurant is a 30 second walk from the hotel.
Hotel internet booking is currently £34 for non flexible, or £67 for a flexible booking.

If no joy for a block booking discount/sponsorship by the end of next week, then we'll have to revert to plan B and book individually.

I'm of the opinion that these hotel chains are too big an organisation for one person to make a simple decision.

Surely a family room is fine for the 3 of you? Or are you expecting to have a navigation "discussion" even before the rally starts

I don't think 3 adults in a double bed will fit. As for navigation "discussions" I expect WW3 will commence the moment we set out having collected son. Jane, on TomTom gets me going straight away, wife says I must obey her and Jane, and son wants to chuck us all out.

Family room is a double and a sofa bed, but children are 15 or 16 (depending on which part of the website you're reading) & under.

Listen ............. I book lots of hotels for rally teams, and, as Nick says, trying to get a disount is hard work.

SO............ if you are all friends, then book a room, and pile in, double bed, sofa etc and floor, sleeping bag, job done, last one I did, had eight in there.

Have a feeling a 30 year old doesn't quite qualify as a teenager. Mind you if I cut him in half, I can get 15 year old teenagers.............ah but hang on isn't that doubling the teenage problems !!!!!!!!!!!

We are leaving Edinburgh on the 14th with a stop over mid journey so guessing we will be aiming to be in Swindon for around 15:00 ish on Friday.

We are stopping in Dover on the 14th, then collecting Son, doing some shopping (food wise), repacking the Green Oval, so should be there around 6ish I guess
