Hotel the night before the start 2012

Just picking this one up again, I know the 2012 start seems a long way away, but once Xmas is out the way, it'll soon be Easter, and then soon after we'll be loading up for the off.

I think the Swindon Central Premier Inn seems to have gone down well for a stop over the night before the start for some of the teams.

So ... I'll volunteer to do some wheeling and dealing with them for a group booking and see if we can get a reduction in cost etc... for both the hotel B&B and an evening meal in the adjacent pub on the Friday (15th June) night.

Post up if you're interested and after a few weeks, when I've got a good idea of numbers, I'll get in touch with them and see what we can do. Being a big chain, this will almost certainly need a confirmed number of bookings closer to the time, please commit as soon as you can.

Copy and paste this list please, so I can keep track (please include your team number) ... state if you need a family room, or just a normal double or single room.

As some of you are going to be stoping over in Swindon on the Friday before the start,I am inviting you all to come and have a Beer or Five at Swindon Royal Naval Association.So we can all start off on the Saturday with the standard issue hangover...There will be no hassles of getting in as i am the Chairman.......

Here is an eatery that is just round the corner from the RNA that is meant to be the MUTT's NUTS!!!!!! http://www.cosmo-restaurants.co.uk/find.php?rst_id=10 we could fill up there and then across the road to the club????

Just chasing up on the block booking with the hotel - trying to get a decent rate for the nights B&B, then, when we know numbers a bit more accurately, we'll sort the evening meal.

Widening the search a bit now, to attempt to get some decent prices and possible sponsorship for the Rally & participants.

I'm in communication now with 3 large hotel chains.
Nothing worng with a bit of competition.

Had to fairly high in the management as the individual hotels can't make the call over discounts etc...
