Think I need to go and sit in a nice warm dark garage until 15th June.

I need to get some miles under it's belt before June, to make sure it's OK. It now transpires that it was "stripped to check it over" before sending it to me. Not what I wanted to hear about a 18.5K engine that come out of a 57 plate truck !!!

Just 400 miles under it's belt so far this week (2 days ). Judging by the fuel guage, it's a good deal more economical than the old one too.

56mpg is quite good Nick; well done on that - and a quieter, more powerful engine. Glad all going well - and you've got 3 weeks to go

But that 3 weeks actually equates to 8 days. Except 2 of the days over tha Bank Holiday are booked elsewhere, leaving the grand total of 6 days to do anything !!!

3 weeks, 2 trial packs done, and still head scratching as to where to put the washing machine and all that paper work the Marshals want to look at.

We already hold that record; but, (thank you Warrick - really appreciate the reminder and am certain your fellow crews will also appreciate you've mentioned it ). So, as it's now been mentioned, it might be worth trying to increase the record.
