| The L200 is now sporting a Hannibal roof tent BIG thanks to the Barkers for the loan of it. | |

| Oh No! My strong recollection of that tent was at Bastogne; where the sea air of the region affected Rob's health! The head poking out of the tent in the morning was not a pretty sight. There are other details - but....... | |

| Unfortunatly Rob wasn't the only one to suffer from the sea air. My navigator also had some problems that day. I guess all 2013 crews should be aware of the air quality around Bastogne. | |

| A good point Ross. Our Risk Assessment we have in place, and which was required to obtain the event's PLI, covered the sea crossing elements of our journey - but in hindsight, made no mention if the inherrent risks of the sea air around the Bastogne area. The sea air impacted on a number of people - some more so than others. Not quite sure why. Make note; revisit Risk Assessment. | |

| Keith, that risk assessment didn't review the air (atmosphere) quality in the bar at that camp site. So you may need to carry out a dynamic one on the day. | |

Nick its ok in the bar erea i did a full and comprhensive assesment last year. After several hours trying the air quality from different areas in the bar i deem it to be safe. However as Keith rightly points out this assesment wasn't carried outside, and from the reports from Rob and Jannise this is where the problem is. I guess they must of suffered from this during the hours of sleep as the rest of the time they where in the bar safe area.

| The responsibilities of the organsiers are endless. However, in their usual fair, kind, considerate, understanding, selfless and compassionate way they will pathfind Nick's suggestion and conduct a dynamic RA on the day. We'll report on our findings the following morning - | |

| Reporting the findings the following morning will ensure the RA comprehensively covers the entire time frame. Although for the 2012 teams this may be too late. But, should ensure the 2013 teams don't suffer the same problems.
As with any H&S RA, this needs to be followed by a Method statement that encomapsses all the findings of the RA.

| I thought Rob & Jannise made method statements which encompassed many findings last year. I'll ask them; there're sure to remember | |
