| Back in 2010 I started to use a dashboard app for the trip between points. But I gave up eventually and calculated the difference between the car and the road book. My maths coped just so little argument ensued. Flash toward two years and my new nav's maths wasn't quite as good or quick enough in some cases, hence a few fallings out.
This year he's a little older and the maths a little slower I fear. I need to take the pressure off him. Anyone know of a good, simple and easy to use dashboard type app as I can't find the one I used last time. | |

| Dashboard is the one Keith and Tim use to compile the road books.
Works fine on the Iphone, but, don't leave it run in the background too long, it does become inaccurate.

| It's the one I had in 2010. But can't find it anywhere on the App Store now. There's others that are too complex and not right for the job. I'll keep searching the store | |

| Hmm, just had a look, there's quite a few that i used to use not available anymore.
Biggest issue with most of them is not having a one tap reset, which you need for ease at junctions.
Will keep having a look and see what's about.

| Just had an idea ..... I've got a copy of it in my Itunes library, wonder if I sent it to you and you copy into yours, it would trnasfer to your 'phone and work???
The libray to look in is:
C:\Users\Windows7\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications\Dashboard 2.0.3.ipa
If you right click on any app in Itunes, you can show in Windows Explorer and that'll be where to put the dashboard file.

| I found the old one but as you say it's not compatible with an iPhone 6. Have found one called rally tracks. Looks like it's be designed for this sort of thing. Downloaded it. Just need to put it to a test. | |

| Tested RallyTracks on bot an iPhone and an Android - works OK if you don't leave it to run in the background.
Better accuracy on the iPhone than on the Android.
More testing to follow. | |
