Out of the loop and off the road

Hello to one and all...

Wow it seems so long ago now, well i guess it was, that we were all blasting around Europe (on some stges like headless Chickens) having a blast.

I've not been around for a while, the Disco is currently undergoing a massive organ transplant!!! What with collapsed wheel bearings all the way home, which resulted in the rear wheels being cut up, and then my engine blowing up 4 weeks after the rally, ive not been doing anything Land Rover related, which also meant coming on here...just simply working my guts our to pay for the repairs!

Its great to see our finishing total, my god i never thought for a minute we'd do that well as a class!!

Unfortuently I wont be withyou in 2013, have to go to a wedding in the USA, but I know where I'd rather be without fail!!!

Sorry to miss you all at LRO Peterborough last week, but as I've explained the truck is well and truly scuppered, but I will be seeing you all at the Easter reunion!

and finally....

Wondering if there are any pictures of the final evening meal with all the presentations?

Good speaking to you all, and will now be on regularly!

Hi Guys...

Anythign really, our sponsors would like to have a copy of the picture of us receiving our award, but in general we dont have anything decent fromthe last night as our camera was rubbish.

I was a few cars behind David the other day but in an old Escort while my disco isin for an engine change...I've had nothing but trouble with mine since getting back fromthe Rally.

How are you guys anyway?

John. PM with your email and I will send you a photo for your sponsors. Sorry to hear about your troubles and hope they are sorted out soon. Mine works fine in the UK (so far) it's just the Rally that causes hissy fits, although I think that the Warthog has a thing for the AA wagons, or maybe Tony, John and Todd!!!!

we dont have anything decent fromthe last night as our camera was rubbish. That'll be nothing to do with the lack of oxygen that evening due to the high Alpine mountains air then Guinness

Yep the Class of 2012 certainly did their bit - all quite amazing; each year the event simply grows and grows.

You wont miss us Keith, I plan on being at whatever get together is voted for at Easter and to the startline to see next years crews off....or if there is anything on that first day i could help/get involved with I'd love to, but I'll certainly be there!

All the woes of repairs are almost over i think...they start the engine change tomorrow..so hopefully i'll be back to normal running order sometime next week or so.

Dave - I figure at least mine is broken in the UK, with the size of repairs ive needed im glad i wasnt stuck in Germany or something with it lol Will PM you now...cheers

Sorry to hear of your list of problems John. Just hope my Defender doesn't have same sort of problems whilst in Morocco next month. At least insurance company gave me free travel insurance in case of medical or mechanical break down.
We are not on the 2013 rally, but may well catch up with the Class of 2013 at some camp site or other in Northern Europe

We're not onthe 2013 rally either as I have a wedding in the USA to go to..but I too wil be catching up with old faces and new at whatever is planned for the easter get together.

I'm very jealous of the morocco trip!!!! I'm sure the 90 will hold up just fine....wish I was going!

I'll look forward to seeing some pictures of that...good to hear from you too!
