I've been at it this morning too.

I've bolted the waffles to the outside of the roofrack and bolted my jerry to the top.

I'll be picking up a cheap roof box from a mate at the weekend then I reckon I'm almost ready to add clothes, food, tent ect...

Alan, ye mention that ye haiv 'bolted' the waffles on.
How do ye get them off in a rush?
Spanners?

Just asking.
I have put mine on with they drop lever thingys that ye find on the rear of trailers.
I can lift them off in a sec or two.
when not off roading one can put a wee padlock on them.

Its a great place tae haiv them as when muddy one just jet wasjes them in situ.

They're on wing nuts at the moment, I'm going to give it a few days to see if they work themselves loose. If they do I'll use real bolts.

When the time comes, if I do find myself in a situation where i need to use them having to get a spanner out (which is in my cubby box) to unbolt them would be the least of my worries! Laughing

Yeah, not too worried about them. No one has pinched my Hi-Jack........Yet!!

They're on wing nuts. If they don't wobble themselves loose I may see if I can drill through the bolts to fit small padlocks.

A 10mm spanner? Do you reckon a bolt that'd need that size spanner would hold up a waffle board? affraid
