Pheww, after trawling the AA website i have stopped the panic. no IDP required. So i have the V5, Ins Doc, both parts of license, beam delectors and all the safety kit. Have i forgotten any vehicle/driving related paperwork and what is the Green Card- is that international Ins which Noel Dazely are telling me that i have?

I was begining to panic about my insurance.
I wanted to add Tim on just for the duration of the rally, 1st I was told it had to be withing 28 days of going away
Then 10 days

Then 7 days, grrrrr

Knackers to it, I just rang them and added him for the rest of the policy, which for some strange reason is cheaper than just putting him on for the 2 weeks?????????!!

Anyhoo, all the paperwork is together in my floder ready to go.

I'm trying to remain nice and calm and save all my panic and general flapstations for next Friday cheers

It's not working pale

Tonight I'm going to print every email and checklist when I get home and try and get myself in order. Fingers crossed when I get through the door the postman will have presented me with:

1) New insurance document with co-driver specifically named
2) Replacement paper part of my driving licence after the old one had a brief meeting with a lawnmower last autumn
3) A few more bits for the car
4) Coffee press for my JetBoil

Have done a dry-run on shoving all the boxes and my fridge in the car and it there's a fair bit of room left, so confident I can get all Iain's stuff in too. Still debating if I take waffle boards or not. Having done some sleuthing I think one or both of our European offroad days may be a bit muddy..... and I'm switching from MTRs to ATRs this weekend so they may come in handy Mad

I need to remember to leave room for the oztent on the roof. 200cm x 45cm x 15cm - not a problem I suspect, but need to ensure the waffles and Oz don't get in the way of me folding the antenna down for ferry etc.

I need to decide if I take one spare tyre or two. If two, one is probably going to have to go on the roof and that makes the waffle/oztent/antenna question a little more complicated. Leaning towards one spare I think.

Camera and PMRs (great for spotting when offroad). Must remember to pile up the batteries.

Netbook. Got to stick some "tunes" on there to counter the noise from my co driver's iPod collection and upload centrafuse so it's easy to use on the move. And by "some" tunes I mean about 60 hours of rrrrrrrRRRRRRROCK! Twisted Evil Oh, and I need to see if I can get the DVB tuner working so I can charge people (funds to H4H) to watch football on a 9" screen Laughing

Hi al, can I join in the panic? ...I've been at it for a while now....

Latest spanners in the works: Spare wing mirrors that should have been delivered this week have gone AWOL; the auxilliary tank pump doesn't appear to be working now... shame really as the auxilliary tank is full...( and may well remain full now for the duration...)

and still can't find the shovel.... (how many places can you put a shovel??)

AND..... what am I going to wear???

(its a girl thing;o)
