Just been on the 'phone with Vodaphone.
As Alan says, Data Traveller is the way to go for internet on the 'phone. Also could used on Iphone/Ipad.
Included minutes are included as part of the standard tariffs if you have Vodafone Passport.
Data Traveller is either £2 per day for 25MB of data (midnight to midnight), or £10 per month for 25MB per day (midnight to midnight). You can ring them a week or so before we go and get Data Traveller £10 per month activated on your account (only with monthly contracts) and then cancel it on your return, therefore limiting cost to £10 for the rally, assuming you don't go over the 25MB per day (midnight to midnight).
Data Roaming is another issue and still expensive.
£1 per MB, up to 5MB, then £5 per MB, once you've used the first 5MB. The first 4MB, say, will cost £4. But 6MB will cost £10.
These are cost per day (midnight to midnight). Standard coast capping applies too - you'll get text messages warning of approach to each 5MB of usage and will automatically get turned off once £40 has been used.
You can get onto a fixed tariff - £10 per day for upto 50MB, so 10 days usage would cost £100. Once you go over the 50MB per day allowance, it then starts costing £5 per 5MB.
Think I got that lot right !!!!!
