| Just ordered my Skytag for 2013 rally. Car electrics and I do not get on, so I'll be asking for help and advice when I arrives. Apparently the link will not be live until the morning of the rally, so no chance to try it out. ANT | |

| Skytag will do a test with you beforehand to make sure it works ok. I'm sure you'll be able to fit it ok - there's lots of help available on here, but sadly me being a woman and all, I can't give you any! | |

| It just needs a permanent power supply and an earth.
As Jan says, they'll do a test with you before the start to make sure it's working.
Any questions - just ask and we'll help out.

| Ant - The 'live' bit relates to the public access to the website showing where your car is. As Jan says, Skytag will work with you to make sure everything is working okay and will tweak as needed. You'll have access to your own link from the day it is fitted - and so will we!!! Then mid-morning on 15th all cars go 'public' - that 'public' access will close once we get to Berchtesgaden ie where the rally ends. Any probs, as ever simply shout | |

| Thanks for the help. Does the Skytag have its own battery back-up? There's something draining my main battery at present (I think it's something to do with the rear window demister or the yellow relay under the seat in the battery box), so I'd like to hook the Skytag up to the 2nd "leisure battery" if possible. Where would be the best place to get a permanent live supply? Ant | |

| No probs Ant - but your techo Qs have thrown me. As a Mitsu owner I'm good at changing light bulbs once in 2003, not long after I got the car, and again in 2008 Some one will be along soon and give a worthwhile answer Not sure if you've seen our facebook page www.facebook.com/h4hrally but 3 police forces, inc our own in Surrey, have just give out warnings re increasing numbers of thefts of Defenders - so Skytag is now very timely. | |

Where would be the best place to get a permanent live supply? Ant It does have an internal battery that lasts a few hours if you do disconnect it from your battery. No problem connecting it to you 2nd battery. The Skytag device needs to be hidden away. so any theif can't find it. Or if you're only using for the rally, just place it somewhere safe, where it can't move around. Permanent live is probably best taken from the ignition switch or direct from the battery - if your do the latter, make sure you fit an inline fuse. Skytag will send a set of instructions with it.

| Well the Skytag finally arrived (after getting lost in my house!). So tomorrow I'm going to fit it. Hopefully without any problems. ANT | |

| Up and running and tested OK. I was amazed at the pinpoint accuracy of the screen shot - exactly where the Defender was parked during power up and testing. See you all Saturday. ANT & CHRIS | |
