| Best way to deal with the tracker is to fit it to Tim's car on the first night. He can 'carry the flag for us and it'll look like a fantastic team effort on the web tracking site right up to the end. | |

| It's a good job Richie isn't in the points scoring, we'd have a right battle on our hands at the bottom of the table | |

| Fitted my Skytag at the weekend - set up ready for the Mac this weekend.
The deal with Skytag is great. You will receive all the details when they contact you.
Fitting is dead easy. There's three wires;
red - power,
green - battery charging (it'll run on it's own internal battery for around 3 hours),
black - ngeative.
Red and green must be connected to a permanent power supply (which can be the same source for both wires). The red comes with a in line fuse, but if you're going to run cables for any distance, I would recommend fitting your own fuse at source.
Black is connected to a good earth.
The unit itself can be mounted pretty much anywhere (bearing in mind it's not water proof), but is best hidden high up behind the dash or other secret location. It relies on being able to get a good satelite and 'phone signal to be able to work, so should be kept away from any sources of possible interference, such as radios, CBs etc... A good place might be behind the headlining near an interior light, or perhaps in behind a door pillar trim.
There's a number on the unit to call, once it's been on for 1/2 hour or so, to check that it's working. I've just spoken to them and they can "see" my truck parked inside my workshop - a steel clad building with alsorts of other steel buildings and structures near by and apparently, the signal is excellent, so all good.
As soon as I know the weblink etc... I'll post it up so you can keep an eye on us over the coming weekend. | |

| Not another delve behind the dash . Took me all day to find a positive for the GPS behind the dash and a or two before everything was back where it should be. Would help if I had the right tools for removing a radio on a , and before the rude comments start flying around, no it wouldn't just fall out at the first bump | |
