2012 - mascots (other than H4H bears !!!!)

OK, so ... we had:

Stropenfrau, the pig
Shaun, the Sheep
The 3 Geese
and towards the end, the Terrier - appears to have been headnameless.

There are a whole host of pics of Stropenfrau and Shaun, no doubt the likes of Facebook etc... is abound with pics of their adventures.
One or two custodians were somewhat "enthusiastic" with providing ample activities for Stropenfrau, especially.

The kidnapping of the geese was a late move, and the kidnappers demands pretty well detailed and demanding, however, the counter demands were pure genius.

So, with all of the antics, kidnappings etc... documented (well nearly all), and all ransome demands met, it seems that there is only one task to complete.

The return of Stropenfrau to her rightful owner.

HOWEVER ................................... having been involved as the mediator for the Geese, I am fairly certain, this is not going to be striaght forward.

1 ............ do we know who has her?

I suspect not.
This is likely to be the big secret between now and Peterborough.

2 ............ are we going to let her get away with an easy return?

I suspect not.
This is going to be a painful time for her owner between now and Peterborough.

3 ............ is her owner completely aware of her antics, especially towards the end of the rally, and are those details going to be divulged?

I suspect not.
This is going to be a fun time for everyone except her owner between now and Peterborough.


I now duck out, refus to be mediator again, and wish Stropenfraus owner all the sympathy I can muster.

Nick: You forgot the heron that joined the geese at the Moselle camp site for a night, owner unknown, kidnapped from??? .................... we know not where, and will it be returned to it's rightful owner? unlikely

Have looked for thfacebook page for the pig but can not find it!!!

I believe it was returned to it's rightful owner the next day or so. Due to it's origins, the return was as quiet as the kidnapping......

But yes, I forgot that one.

BTW Thanks for your mediation Nick in that rather delicate matter - you definitely helped avert a messy end.... (or three) See 'Proof of Life' evidence received below

We kept the ransom note which The Terrier delivered, for forensic evidence in the event that the goosenappers could be caught (and would suggest that Stropenfrau's owners consider doing the same in the event of a ransom demand).

I don't know whether the counter demand note was ever retained (in fact I'm not sure that The Terrier was ever seen again).

Thanks again to Nick for his mediation skills, and to the undercover team who provided realtime intel on the geese whereabouts during the crisis

I think the terrier,being a mere messenger in this affair, was sacrificed, so as to be unable to identify the kidnappers under interrogation, as when last seen, he had been decapitated.

She got me through the end of the rally last year and is like part of the family!

I am willing to put a reward prize up for her safe return!
