| In 4 weeks today, we have to pack for the very last time before hitting the autoroutes to the UK. Only had half a trial run so far, and as yet we still have to attempt to put the tent up for the first time, inflate airbags, position portoloo, and try sleeping in a sleeping bag. Where, oh where have the last 5 months gone? Bet its Keith that has pinched them from under our nose | |

| And don't forget the Goal-post moving that he has had to contend with as well just to keep us the poor down-trodden proliteriate teams guessing!!!!!!!!LOL | |

| This is part of one of the night sections - we did it in daylight as it looked too dangerous for us to do in darkness. I doubt if we'll put any marshals out (safety reasons) and will use Skytag for the 'VCs - Virtual Checks [img][/img] | |

| Keith, as you know, I was up for this, being an experienced offroad/challenge/long distance rally raid driver etc etc, it was no problem, but the wimp, whoops, sorry, mark who is with me this year bottled out when I showed him this bit.
Bu as you said, I think, we canstill use that local guy we met on the recce, to put the sign out, so should still be good for points etc. | |

| Are we talking about the road (easy) or the bridge (smoth)? The reason I ask is that I need to know how much rope to bring and if I should use a standard chute or a base jumping one . | |

| Would be handy to know if its the bridge or road so we can organise the respective right number of replacement underwear. | |

| oh s***, that means more clothes that SWMBO will need, well underwear. I am having to make room for the washing machine now. Just hope those sites with an electrical hook up have enough electricity to power it. Thanks organisers and a certain marshal | |

| Car 20 has just withdrawn from the Rally cos not doing the road OR the bridgeCar 20 might be along the right track - the rally is not doing the road OR the bridge. They are far too easy - there are other route options | |

| Car 18 withdraws. Reason due to age of driver and SWMBO if its not the road or the bridge they are to old for it. | |

| Because of the confusion over this crossing, I have just returned from a recce of it, yet again, another task that we do freely for you plus I had to try the vehicle from Terberg out, I have devised a new route, you will have a choice, if you use the bridge, you will receive 100 points, plus a bottle of French wine, for every one who used the bridge, kindly donated by our French entrants. If you go the road route, you will only have 25 points. There is also a mountain track, and you can if need be use this, Sherpa's will be available to guide you, but, you will receive a fail for this, and of course, a fail for the next two days that you will be up the mountain. I know hope this issue is clarified, and we can now move on | |
