For the Green Oval bashers, I have owned 10 Defenders, and only 2 have ever given me any problems. 1 was an old Turbo D that blew its turbo and engine, the other a very early TD5 that blew its head and dumped diesel into the sump causing an engine rebuild. Milage covered in those 10 Green Oval's, too damn many to count, but must be excess of 500,000. Best engine, 300 TDi. Now on a Puma powered jobby, and only 2K covered in it so far, so to early to tell.
