| Tim & I regularly get emails about what some of you are doing regarding your fundraising eg, Asda, the local garden centre, a show.
Why not tell everyone else what you are doing as well? As an example entrants from the rally will be at the Beaulieu Auto Jumble this w/e as well as the NEC Destinations Show in Birmingham.
What are you doing this w/e?
What have you got planned in the weeks ahead? | |

| I just thought I would give you and update of where TEAM GALLOWAY are in the way of fundraising events: We are just about recovered from the work involved in putting on our fundraising night which was a great success and worth doing if you are needing a boost to your total. Tomorrow we are getting photographs taken for the Dumfries and Galloway Life Magazine who are running a few articles on us and also acting as a tow vehicle for TEAM ARMY LAND ROVERS who are trying the 101 out in the mud for the first time!! We will be trying out our new Tee-shirts to try and make ourselves a bit more pleasing to the eye! We are still writing letters/emails etc, don't give up as we have had some big companies get back to us after a delay of months. We are now proudly sponsored by Tunnocks (might not mean much to people south of the border!) and also a huge tractor company who want to remain nameless but like green and yellow................. We have also got a proper raffle going selling books of tickets and they are selling like hot cakes! I had to apply for a gambling license but this wasn't too bad as log as you're a good boy . We reckon this will make us in the region of £500 - £1000. Don't panic we shall be selling them at the Convoy Weekend, the prizes are pretty good! We have some joint collecting day's lined up in Dumfries with Army Land Rovers and will be helping them out at their games night and swing dance! Looking forward to a rest on the rally................!! | |

| You're right Steve, people are so kind, also I want to say don't discount Monday collections in Supermarkets, they get quite busy as I believe it is pay day for some people | |

| Hi all, just got home after a day collecting at our local Sains-bugs and am pleased to announce that the very generous shoppers have donated just over £1000 . In a couple of weeks time it will be our 30th wedding anniversary, to celebrate we have invited family and friends to join us for a BBQ. We have requested no presents instead we would like everyone to make a donation, so should be able to announce another sum being added to the funds. | |

| Hi Chris - My word that is an amazing result for 1 day; for sure the Great British public can be truly great. The BBQ idea is also ace - and as you say, should bring in some more pennies. | |

| Might seem like an odd place to hold a fundraiser as we're based near Rugby... but I work down here during the week. Anyway... with huge support fromk the Kings arms hotel & local council, Team Skibum are hosting a black tie variety dinner, we have comedians, musicions and even an Elton John impressionist, 6 course dinner and a charity auction. With a bit of luck... it should boost the total quite dramatically! Sadly we have been force to postpone this event... it will now form part of our fundraising for next years rally. If anyone has contacts nearby who would be interested in tickets... please get them warmed up for it to run early October.... ish!
