AVT Sentinel Vehicle Tracking System

Nearer the time, once it is all set up, we will let people know the relevant info (website address, etc) so you can let your sponsors, family, friends, etc know so, they can follow where we go

I have been looking into options for doing a vehicle tracker that is live so that my family and friends can click on a link and see were I am and were I have been.

Thanks We know, from previous experience, that it's an awesome tool to have for many reasons!

I am hoping to have mobile boradband for the event and one of the options i was looking at was a track back facility of the gps via that but having it in one box will be nice.

I am guessing at the costs involved this will be fitted into one of the officals vehicles and not something that will be in each car I take it.

Bearing in mind that it also tracks one when yer lost and take the wrong turning etc...... Dosnt it Tim.........

If I get lost then I deserve it lol 40 vehicles should not be hard to follow plus I have a few navigation options available to me for the event.

We (AVT) are going to be fitting units to four vehicles in total and providing live tracking during the trip.

At the end of the trip, I believe that the four units will be raffled with proceeds going to the charity. (The plan is to replace the four units from the trip with new units, so you'll be winning new rather than used units!)

Cant say fairer than that, I was looking at mobile internet usage for updating from GPS unit back to google maps and roaming chargers can be as high as £1.25 per MB
