Thanks Keith.

Bit of a labour of love now. 1st test drive befor the H4H Rally should be the Mac in March with a bit of luck. Then it'll be used for work from time to time to get some miles under it's tyres.

As with any resto project, one thing leads to another and it ends up costing far more than you ever predict, time (something I do not have much spare of) and money Razz

What worries me is that all I'm intending to do at the moment is end up with an MOT and a truck that looks like a used military vehicle, but is reliable - no way is it going to be a full on show resto.

Nick has got his own dedicated recovery vehicle for next year, sadly only used for the L200 so far......

Sounds sorted, you're now covered for the mac and the rally.

Only thing you need to do now is stock up on thermals, it gets chilly on the mac. You may not have noticed being in the jap thing with a working heater.
If it gets warm in a landie it means that either the engine is overheating or the loom is about to catch fire

I have a feeling the only hot air that will be anywhere near the lightweight will be what's been blown through the radiator.

Hope Mark's wrong about the wiring Suspect ............ it'll be the result of my rewire of the 24v system, if he's right Razz

Posh. 24v should give a much better burn than 12..

Maybe not, 24 will only get 1/2 as hot so perhaps you should put in a log burner as part of the refit

That's assuming I get all the 24v stuff working as it should.

Got most of what's need except a dizzy, leads and plugs.

Hope the AA will be carrying not only S3 stuff, but 24v stuff too. Or have I done it again, and using a truck that I need to carry all my own spares Rolling Eyes Razz

Think the 12v dizzy etc.. will need to be carried, just in case ....
