| No. The name sounds familiar but I can't quite place the vehicle. It was a Defender wasn't it?

| What a weekend ...............
Finished work Thursday eve and set off to the monthly NW 4x4 Response meet in the Lakes. On the way the engine started knocking. Got it recovered home that night and set about it Friday morning - bottom bearing wiped or spun (not sure yet - haven't pulled the crank yet).
During the course of Friday, one of the L200 Club members got to hear about it and was going to be heading from Scotland to Preston Sat morning and offered to bring down his old engine (nothing wrong, just high mileage and he'd changed it for a much lower mileage engine).
The rest of Friday was spent pulling my engine out.
Spare engine collected from Preston Sat morning and the afternoon was spent, swapping bits over from one to the other and sorting one or two other things in the engine bay while the engine was out.
Spent the day today putting the replacement engine in and by teatime it was up and running and ready to roll again.
Nothing like a busy weekend to keep you out of trouble !!!!! | |

| Nick - I reckon your car was a Friday afternoon Osaka 'special! Was with Ed Pawsey on Sat; you'll like this - We all stopped for a brew after going through the 2 N Warnborough fords; Ed wanted to see under the PajEvo's bonnet (I had to think long & hard where the bonnet catch was!) after which says he's thinking of doing the Tuareg Rallye Desert Rallye on a bike and said the PajEvo would make a great support vehicle! Praise indeed - but he wouldn't put it in writing | |

| I think most of the breakages and failures my truck has suffered over the years (owned it now 7 years from almost new) is down to the hard life it has. 140K and a lot of that has been hard work for any truck. Maybe getting close to the time for a major rebuild. Praise indeed for the PajEvo, but surely an L200 would be a much better choice with so much more storage space .................. Oppssss -------- inter Mits debate ............ | |

| Car 16(soon to be car 40) is now fully functional again and been out for a test drive today. Happy days. All that's to do now is build a new engine in time for the rally | |

| Car 16(soon to be car 40) is now fully functional again and been out for a test drive today. Does this mean you will be pitching your tent the other side of the campsites from the rest of us? | |

| Nick, I did call Keith, and he thought it may have been Tim who changed it, I did explain that you would not be happy, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears mate, shocking this post editing, just glad that I don't have permission to do it, so it clears me. | |
