Shows and Events 2012

Thought I'd start a list of shows and events that might be of interest during 2012.

12th February Overland and 4x4 Travel Show Warwickshire Exhibition Centre (website still to be updated) worth a visit for ideas and kit etc...

17th/18th March British Indoor Show Stafford show ground - H4H Rally Stand will be there. I'll be there with the L200 OC too.

could be a good couple of events to go to

We're a bit snookered for our main reunion ie the LRM Stoneleigh Show; it's moved forward to 30 June/1st July 2012. We land back at Dover, after returning from the rally. at 2100/30 June 2012.

Now thinking of using the LRO Show at Peterborough 8/9 Sept 2012 for the reunion and launch of 2013 (we've got bookings already for 2013!!). We'll keep you posted.

7th/8th April Convoy For heroes Prestwold Hall, Leicestershire LE12 5SQ ........ H4H Rally Teams in large numbers - great weekend for a get together .... see ya there.

There's Sewing for Pleasure on at NEC in March - do you think members might be interested in that!

Might be interesting for the L ... La ... Lan ... Land ... Landr ... green oval owners to learn about another way of sticking their trucks back together.



Or maybe something for Keith & Tim to have a look at for improving the Roadbooks, but then again, they're good enough already at stitching us up.

Jan - Have a word with Allan. I'm sure he'll have a polite view re what we all think of your idea. The NEC in March can often be chilly! Indeed, to ensure no more 'bright' ideas that's now 3 teams on an equal negative footing at the bottom of the ladder.

By the way, Richie says he is now a reformed character and has told be he won't be putting the 2012 Roadbooks/Qs/As on eBay. However, he has said to me he does get lonely now and again and would welcome chatting to people about the rally - not sure what he means but he says he finds such discussions 'very useful'.

I know exactly what he means And I WILL be exploiting it

Looks to be worth a visit. Whether or not we have the reunion there.......well that depends on our esteemed organisers and their wisdom

It looks as if the LRO Show in Sept 2012 will be our 'official' launch for the 2013 rally. We have the okay from the mag's Editor who is in discussion with their 'events side'. Thus, as organisers, we would prefer a full focus on the LRO date/show for a reunion rather than the Oct venue mentioned in the above posts. We must seek to avoid a split of some going to one show and some going to another. The dates are very close to each other and in the current climate costs play an important factor. Few will wish to go to both shows in close timing of each other. Having said that we have no prob in a sub-set gathering at the Oct venue - but only on the basis that it doesn't detract from the 'main event' ie LRO Peterborough.

Hope all understand and appreciate our reasoning.
