STOLEN VEHICLE: L/R Defender 110 300TDi

Just a quick note on the off-chance that anyone might have seen something or hear of something for sale.

Last night I had my Landy stolen from Winsford, Cheshire from a hotel I was staying at.

VRN: L984TDU It is/was sporting the H4H European Rally stickers as it was going to be my chariot for the rally.

The vehicle was sat with the following modifications:

Superwinch with plasma rope on the front.
Alloy checker plate on wings, bonnet and bottom of side doors.
Rock sliders.
Light guards all round.
Snorkel.
Modular wheels with Colway A/T's.
Carpeted throughout.
Factory fitted twin fuel tanks.

I'm rather gutted about the vehicle, more so about the contents inside, all my equipment for motor racing was inside, including:

Sparco Sprint race suit, white/red
Peltor Pro rally helmet, white
AWS Black race boots
Various plastic storage boxes with spares
Top Box, Sealey full of tools
Michelin Low Entry race jack and two cheapo axle stands
Racelogic PerformanceBox GPS Datalogger.

Any info leading to recovery of the above would greatly appreciated. It was taken at 0218 and was logged on the ANPR at 0245 heading towards the M6.

Bad news indeed, land rovers are often an easy target, one been stolen from a lad on the Def2 site as well, sincerely hope you get it back.

OMG! This is something we've been worried about too as Landy theft is rife in our area.Pikeys love them.
What will you do for the rally?

I've very thankfully been offered a seat with Dave Race in his DiscoIII for the rally.

I have had two kind offers to borrow vehicles to complete the rally which I am very grateful but I don't really want to be driving someone a vehicle belonging to someone else for that distance just in case....

One of these days, one of these pikey gangs is going to get caught by a bunch of Landy drivers. I doubt they'll find the bodies - cos we'll strip 'em for parts.

It's a family forum so I can't express my true feelings, but I hope to one day catch one of these little turds red-handed so I can kick the living daylights out of them

and its unfortunate that its hard to stop them cos i they want it they will have it, the only thing you can do is slow them down in the proccess to give you enough time to get out there with a bat.

the pikeys think the law doesnt apply to them.. i hope its true so i could use a bat

Sorry to hear this Chris - Jack told me about it last night. We will keep our eyes open on the welsh borders, I know a couple of pikey sites I will do a drive by, you never know.

Hi Chris sorry to here that this happened, i will send it on to a friend his is in the cheshire police ask him to look out as here drives between manchester and winsford and i will to as i deliver around the north west fingers cross you get it back

Willy Eckerslike has posted on Defender2.net and I've plastered it all over Disco3.co.uk, RRSport.co.uk and Freel2.com along with the 0845 number for Cheshire Police (0845 458 0000)

We should go to the press with details and lay it on thick about the car being prepared for the H4H rally, we may get a loan replacement, anyone got any contacts

Word spreads very quickly

I've just had a mate from the Southeast 4x4 response come round for a cup of tea and he told me about it.
He got the news from the Paj Owners Club

Small consolation I know but it's nice to know that the word is getting round.

Chris , the webmarshal at work keeps bouncing it ( larger than 5mb) its was designed on a tortoise type system , send it to my home email and i will sort it first thing tomorrow
