| What are we doing about spars parts for the various vehicles? Are we having a pool, each taking there own or what? I only ask as my local dealer, Carridges is letting me have mine on a donate or return type scheme. Pete | |

| Think the idea is for each make of vehicle to have a person responsible for liasing with the other teams with the same vehicles and to come up with a list of spares which can be divided up so we don't end up taking loads of the same stuff. Not sure who the LR rep is, but I do know it'll be a very long list. | |

| I believe the non-landy teams are actually contemplating taking a spare vehicle with them | |

| Now, now people, I have got a deal with my local supplier, Carriages Auto Service of Droylsden, Manchester, who is willing to supply me with spares for my Discovery 1 200Tdi on a sale or return basis. Is there anyone else coming in a Disco 1 or 200 Tdi and wants to join in on this offer? I will bring them to the start point and collect what has not been used or the money on our return to England. If you do, them please email me at petert.cowin@virgin.net and we can put together a list of what spares we think we will need. As we are off in four weeks I will need a response asap. Cheers and looking forward to this run, Peter & John | |

| We'll just rely on cannabilism, all the Disco owners put there names in a hat and we then pick out a vehicle to strip for spare parts........sorted | |

| Different Iain. This one's my co-driver.
Some say he breathes through a Raised Air Intake and eats MTRs for breakfast. All we know is he's called 10forCash | |

| If all who are interested in a collection of common spares for 200 Tdi engines or Discovery 1's email me at petert.cowin@virgin.net with what they think we will need then I will put together an excel spread sheet with all the items, once they have been agreed, get them ordered on sale or return. I will bring them to the start and we can devide them up by bulk or weight amongst those who are taking part. I will start the list: spare bulbs belts fuses spare springs shocks starter motor alternatorPete | |
