Media Frenzy

Oh my gosh! Its all happening here in Leicester.
We did a photo shoot today for the local rag who I hope are going to do a nice big artical...(I suspect it won't be so big). Vehicle parked smack in the middle of the road while we draped ourselves around, over and on it. A bit chilly though - I knew bikinis weren't a good idea...

AND next Friday we have a date with BBC radio Leicester... OMG. OMG. What are we going to say? Will I remember who I am and what we're doing. (Who am I and What am I doing?) Who's idea was this??

All I can say is that as I am the Chif Scrutineer for the event I would advise ye tae send the bikini fotaes to me for scrutering before the others see them.

They really are a bunch so its all in the intrest of the challenge.........

The radio thingy will be a breeze as the DJ guy will lead ye and will know if ye get stuck or no.

...and, (supplementary), how do you pronounce 'Bowen' Is it Bow - as in Bow and arrow; or Bow - as in Cow (and arrow).

Oooh - and forgot to mention! We got our article in the Leicester Mercury on Saturday - Page 2!! The paper didn't tell us though. We only found out when we were filling up the ambi at Sainburys and a guy came over and said: "Are you the ones in the Mercury?" So we had to go back and buy a copy or two. ( They decided not to go with the bikini photos though.)

We just did the interview... a woman with a radio car came round - had a chat and looked around the vehicle. I think Simon did OK. I can't remember a word I said!


Onwards an upwards. We're just getting ready for a weekend at Belvoir Castle - Steam and FamilyFair. It looks like a scorcher too. We had a day at the Snibston transport Festival last weekend (as pactice!) and even though they couldn't have found a more out of the way spot for us, still took over £200, so we're hoping we'll hit our target by the end of this weekend. Fingers crossed.

Right then.... wheres me bunting..
