Just watching that million £ bike ride.

What it is to have the big media machine behind you, £250.000 in the 1st day.

I've sent endless emails and spoke to countless people about our event and what do I have to show for it?

£156.97p

Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!

Aye I know where yer comming from.
I have been fund raising for years and everytime I pass a major sign written van/lorry/buss/train/billboard etc etc etc I just wish and wish that I could get one, just one, major backer to sponser/back me.

It is so very hard work and to see them and all their contacts just collect is hard.

Patrick Kiety takes my prize.

aw weil, off tae spend a few hours at work dreamin of 'what if one of the big guns sponsored me'

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I had a meet with a professional salesman last night who is going to put a package together for me. He has about three weeks to spare and he is going to go round and see what he can do.

Listening to this guy, he could sell sand to the Arabs. He came up with more ideas in half an hour, than I have thought of in half a year!!!!

Ade - you're right; ain't easy. We are well into the hundreds of letters sent/contacts made. % response is tiny.

But, if you don't ask...........and there's no such thing as a free lunch. Ha

I work for a household name, retail company(the largest of it's kind) in a senior? managerial position.Apart from colleagues and staff donations, despite exhausting every avenue possible,I've got nothing from the company. Why ? because the MD has his chosen charity, which the company has to support !!!
