Birchington Summer Spectacular

I have been speaking with the organisers of this years summer spectacular and I think it will be much better and bigger this year!
I have been invited to attend the Birchington Summer Spectacular at Minnis Bay this Sun 12-6pm and August Bank Holiday Monday 12 - 4pm.
Free Event for all the family, Fun Fair, Arena Displays, Beer Tent, Crafts, Dog Show and much much MORE!!
I have been given a pitch and am attending both days, hoping to raise some monies.

Wow long day!!!!!
Set up was ok with pitching the Gazebo and lots of assistance from the Westgate and Birchington Rotary Club, just as well they had spare pegs as it was windy (mental note to self carry spare pegs).
Loads of interest initially from other stallholders and organisers, mostly ex Forces!
Got talked into re-joining the Legion!!
Loads of members of the public came and wished us well, said what a great cause and very interested in the Rally. Quite a few 'old soldiers' came over and remembered some of the places we are visiting!!So it was a great experience!
Few sheckels thrown into collection box (let you know how much after tomorrow).
Family and friends visited (mental note to self, have more flasks of hot water for more tea!!!)
Loads of flyers handed out, I think this thing will be big!!!
Must get ready for tomorrow.

JJ - Well done. A tremendous effort. Yep - they are long days but sounds as if it was well worth it.

Bank Holiday Monday Birchington Summer Spectacular. Well.What a blazing hot day!! I have burnt my head!! I have met some lovely people especially some of the old WWII veterens, respect to you, some great knowledge of where we are going!
I have given out about 150 leaflets to people actually interested in the Rally! We have generated a load of interest. The total from our collection boxes is 81.43 pounds! And I have a sun tan! Onwards and upwards! Our total so far................£376.43
