The SuperPro bushes have been in for over 8 years. Yes, they're worn, but deservedly so on any 4x4 that goes off road.
Even with the amount of wear, only one of them showed any signs of movements.
Ordinary rubber bushes would not have lasted so long.
The diffence in handling and ride was quite noticable when they were first fitted. I'm hoping I'm going to notice quite a difference again with all the new ones fitted.

Good to have peace of mind knowing that the bits that keep you pointed in the right direction are all 'sorted'.  cheers

On with the new:

Trial fit only at this stage - only hung on with 2 bolts either side - hence why it's not straight/upright.

A few mods to do:
Winch tray to fit behind it, and fairlead to fit into the bumper.
Rear lights to change to LEDs
Trailer sockets (mounted on rear valance either side of the number plate) now need relocating in the bumper.
Oh ....... and paint it black.

Looks like fun to let the tailgate down with the new bumper on.

Front end rebuild now nearly complete.

All greasing yet to do and all wishbone bushes to be tightened once it's back on the floor.

Front diff breather redone today, routing through engine bay and connecting to the snokel riser still to do.

Tracking and camber to be checked once back on the road and before the new tyres go on.

Just had a better look at those Mark.

He says they've done less than 1000 miles, but if you look at the picture of the pound coin in the tread, there's not a lot left. Done a "bit" more than 1000 miles I think.

Front end rebuild now complete. all greased up and ready for getting the alignment checked (tracking and camber).
Front and rear diff and transfer box oils changed.
Next on the list is a strip and clean of the rear brakes - was all new last year when the axle was rebuilt, and new rear springs and all four dampers changed, so not expecting any surprises.
Then finish fitting the rear bumper.

Best news for us today.

Emma's school confirmed a few days ago that she can go on the rally and today we've heard that James' school has confirmed he can go.

Team L200 at full strength  cheers

That's ace news Nick.  cheers It also means that, with the numbers now available, the 'juniors' football team has a couple of reserves. Mind you, it doesn't matter how many of them there are, they'll still beat the Tony Knott XI  Cuss

Jolly good, Emma's skills will be much appreciated in the evenings.

Apologies if that sounds as wrong to you as it does to me but it was intended in the best possible taste

And James is a good deal bigger and stronger than he was when last on the rally in 2010 & 11, so Tnoy might need to watch out for "hard tatics" !!!

Hmmm ... I did wonder.

For everyone else, you had to be at Peterborough last year to understand that young Emma gained the highly acclaimed status as
"The Rally Port Waitress" keeping our glasses topped up to the point they sometimes seemed of never emptying type of glass.

Does that clear up any doubt?

I like the new kit Nick, very nice. How does the rear tailgate fold down if you have that great lump pf metal on the left hand side? Rolling Eyes John and I are back in POH the Disco we took in 2010.  Twisted Evil  Like you I have adding a few bits and pieces during the winter, new front light bar, rear working lights, compartments in the back cargo space, rear door table, wooden partition between the rear cargo space and front seats to hang bits and bobs on, extra hazard lights, new rear shocks, new boots all round (7.5 r16) to give us a little extra height, newish seats, new door mirrors and a new rear bumper to finish it off. Very Happy However I do need some outside speakers for the CD/CB Twisted Evil . So if anyone has some that they would like to donate?????
I no doubt will see things on other vehicle that I will copy, measure and photograph Twisted Evil for future use
