Does anyone know............

........where I can get an Expedition type roof rack for a '96 Jeep Cherokee. It would appear that they are rarer than rocking horse cr*p

I know you are all Landy and Jap owners, but if anyone happens to spot one while they're surfing on on their travels, I'd be grateful for a nod.

I had same problem with the L200 I can get one but it involves me taking it like a man for the cost of what its going to be it just is not worth it.

My soloution down the scrappy pulled some roof rack bars off a transit £20 for that, and onto freecycle for some bits and ebay for some others.

All in I rekcon the lot will cost me less than £100 for a semi custom built bit of kit, prob wont look pritey at all but hey if it gets me some storage for a few months then hey its paid for itself

Problem solved

Did a swap with a fellow Jeep owner. He gets a pair of Rocky Road 3" Lift Shackles and some extended U Bolts that I had laying around in the garage, and I get a custom built full length roof rack.

Nope im half way through building a custom setup nothing fancy just taking parts I already have from a few bits and trying to make up a decent sized setup and include the jerry can holders and the hi lift on there.

Its coming along I just need to get my ass into gear and get going on it and get it sorted out.

Got plans to work on the truck this weekend so I might have a go at doing a bit more to it then

actually tripled value now, keep goinig this well might be worth a tenner by time rally comes round.

I reckon I should be able to fit your Tata (sorry, Land Rover) on the roof rack
