| Can be good for three reasons. Allows use of low box, with out risking transmission wind up on hard surfaces. Reduce wear on front drive shafts etc when disengaged. Cheaper than standard drive flanges (typical of Mits pricing !!) But, a cost, if not needed and easy to forget to engage | |
