Nürburgring

Is anyone doing the Nürburgring on the way back?

The current plan is per 2010 & 2011 to do the 'ring in convoy around it for those who want the 'experience'. We had planned to do it in 2012 but Renault took a late booking on the track; so it was a visit only.

We won't know a def yes/no for quite a while.

The ring in a van? That's daft enough for and episode of top gear. Mind you, it should be a limited edition Sportive Viper van. Im sure those stripes will help

Saw something on TV some while ago where a young girl took a standard transit van round and broke numerous track records, so both you and Nick should be able to break something

I think I still have the lap record for an AA landrover Nothing like the scream of an all terrain tyre on the edge!!

I'll bring the duct tape to cover all the body gaps for improved air flow over the body.

Tony is the king for taping glass up, not to stop it shattering, but just to make it look like it's a pro job.

Bring it on ...... what was the 2a time ..... about 1/2 hour

I'll make sure all the bolts for strip down to air portable condiditon are free and ready for a quick converstion - should be good for a giggle.

Must be able to - it's a S3, so being a younger model it'll be quicker, have better handling and with "proper" S3 10" brakes, won't suffer the same fade or wear

I suggest you up grade the front brakes to the 11" thats what i have on the S2a Make stopping a reality eventually

Also dont forget your protective equipment. Keith please note the air con is nearly on full in the pic below.

Mmm - Ross; Just trying to work out if it's the version 3.1 aircon or the revamped 2.8. The spare wheel hides the main tell tale clue

I think you'll find that's the revamped version 2.8 on the 2A, 3.1 wasn't introduced until the S3 was launced.

Ah, I was hoping to be able to use a D4 to give me a bit of a slow down for the Karussell
