Series 2A project

This is the new project , first Question - its got a series 3 bulkhead which is in top condition however i was thinking about changing the dash back to series 2A , are they the same under all the dashy bits ,,,,anyone know before i take it apart!

I'd guess it'll be relatively easy, unless there's been a load of wiring changes.

No, they are not the same.
Pretty sure they are actually very different. Yours looks like an early one, pre 65ish, def pre 69
Does yours have the early handbrake on the floor or the later one that sticks in the side of your leg

Did you know they only relocated the hand brake to the uncomfortable place they are now as you couldn't reach the original one with a seat belt on.

If yours is early a/b suffix then it also needs different hinges, mirrors, the wide sill modesty plate

The early 2a with the body coloured center dash is the best looking series so if it is then go for it

mines a 1962 series 2A, but with a series 3 dash like Nikes pic , just wondered what was lurking below ,if striped back to the metal will it be the same as Ross's !

mmmmmmmm, its got a over drive but no door tops , at a guess id say more 2014 ,,,but who would be silly enough to do this Bl*** rally more than once

Having owned a series now for a few months, it's amazing how quickly you need to learn about them, or at least where to find the info !!!!

Not sure if there's so much info around the t'internet because they're popular or because the need is born out of necessity
