| Just been reading about export licences for ex MOD vehicles. Seems to be a lot of confusion about what is needed - off to read up more about it. But it seems a temporay export licence is needed for take anything ex MOD out of the UK. | |

| Does it say MOD on logbook? How would you know.
Wouldn't worry about it unless you're talking an hgv rocket launcher rather than the lwt | |

| Hmmm, that's what I thought, but it seems that anything (not just vehicles) built specifically for the MOD (lightweights, 101s etc... etc...) need a temporary export licence everytime it goes outside the UK. If it's over 50 years old, it's a different licence | |

| No worries Nick; your ever helpful, friendly, kind, considerate, compassionate, understanding and sympathetic organisers already have your solution. As the Help for Heroes 4x4 European Rally we have an Open General Licence granted to us re the export of militarty vehicles. We've had this since the 2010 rally because of the ambulance and a couple of 110s. You wouldn't have known as you were then focused on Jap transport. If I get a chance today I'll email you the docs; you don't need to do anything - we've already done the work for you. Ah. Please add 'hardworking' to the above discripition of your organisers | |

| Ah, superb. I guess, in this case, I need to acknowledge the "hardworking" element of the organisers descriptions. | |

| Penalty points awarded to your team Nick. Two reasons; 1. 'Grovelling' re 'hardworking' acknowledgement 2. Failure to grovel re ackknowledging your 'helpful, friendly, kind, considerate, compassionate, understanding and sympathetic organisers' By the way sent you email with the OGEL & docs | |
