Rule 1: DO NOT believe anything, and I mean ANYTHING our "helpful, generous, sympathetic" organisers say/write.

Rule 2: Beware moving goal posts

That reminds me - some good news for the Class of 2013; the moving goals posts were punctured at the Peterboro LRO show and have had to be binned.

So, it's now official, your helpful, generous, sympathetic organisers have had a committee meeting; there won't be any moving goal posts for next year but Rule No 1 will still apply

Rule 2: ensure the organisers DO NOT get hold of any more goal posts.

Is that as published in the unwritten rule book? If so where do we get a copy?

Ross - No problems on this; copies are freely unvailable and all good book stockists

I think maybe a 'Teams Charter' could be written

Yep - spot on Ross; and proof of its existence - which I know some, disappointingly, were somewhat sceptical about

I realised why I didn't see any goal posts in June. They must have been set on that road traffic island that wasn't there ......

You're right - whoever moved the island must have moved the goalposts as well

Or poss even the traffic lights that did not exist

Now that I am back from a long trip around Morocco and I have managed to clear most of the dust out of funny places, I see that I missed out on traffic islands, traffic lights and moving goal posts back in June now what was I doing then, oh yes trying to follow those funny things called tulips. Thank god for a decient GPS in Morocco as tuplips would have been next to useless, or perhaps those missing traffic islands and lights were just a mirage

I went to the library and eventually found a copy of this rule book.

I had to go down to the cellar, where the lights were broken along with the stairs and the book was on display at the bottom of a locked filling cabinet full of rubber spiders in a disused toilet with a sign on the door saying "Beware of the Leopard"

I'm never going to play hide and seek with Keith. He's a bloody winner
