We know of Sandy's secret desire to have a Welsh heritage clown

Having called with him on Wednesday and sighted his Series - without roof (cool dude) - we can now confirm he has some linkage to our favourite Celtic nation. The LR has a Merioneth registration number. In 1996, Merionthshire (Meirionnydd, Sir Feirionnydd) became, in the main, Gwynedd. That means the Series pre-dates 1996 - considerably! Rolling Eyes

As Gwynedd is one of Wales' largest Welsh speaking areas. Please don't be too surprised if Sandy speaks Welsh to you at one of the rally controls in 2013; he's just being polite pirat
