Cheers for doing that. I will be up on the Friday also with Jannise. Not sure as yet what sort of time we will arrive. Arwe you looking to pitch near the H4H stand or in the public area?

| Dont give up. LRO or more specifically LIVE Promotions can normally be persuaded as long as you promise to put on a good enough display.
What they claim to be trying to do is stop those who just used the display pitch to park & camp

| We'll be there, probably after dark though.
A field kitchen of one sort or another will be coming, either mine or Tony (AA). Either of which will need a good sized pitch - ours is two mess tents each of 18x12 foot, plus space to pitch a 4x4m tent plus L200 and LR !!!
Think you'll need to take some rope and posts to rope a reall BIG area off - speaking to a lot of teams during the rally, there will be quite a few.

| Have we got a display stand? Is it just the camping that is the problem? | |

| It is likely that the stand will only be big enough for one or two cars; details yet to be received. LIVE promotions won't guarantee a camping place (Mark - have you a contact I can 'liaise' with). Our thoughts are to negotiate early on Fri for a large camping area and do our own 'display' there as well. If I recall the camping area is huge and we should be able to find a suitable area okay. The field kitchen is encouraged by us as is the Bring your Own BBQ communally cooked LIVE have indicated an arena slot for us - again details awaited. Dan - Keep the tally going but be aware that large numbers of the H4H 4x4 rally family don't use the forum or F/B so definitive numbers will be difficult to assess. See ya all 8/9 Sept. | |

| I dont have the details but last year one of out chaps rattled quite a few cages and ended up with the MD of live.
The long and short is that we got a big pitch on the (edge of) showground and had to pay £15 each on the understanding that we made some form of interesting display rather than just a load of parked up motors with tents. We took along a twist off ramp & hung a few motors of it & balanced a few on logs/trailors etc. Also had to keep it fairly open & maintain a 'reception' area for the public.
Unfortunately its the big tents, marquees etc that seem to upset them.
If i were you i'd use your blagging skills & point out the power of the brand that you have built. Suggest how many people are coming to the show just to see the h4hrally crew.
Offer them a nice tidy display with an arena convoy & anything else you can think of if they play along otherwise pull out form their show completely.
Perhaps susgest to them that you may be going over the £500,000 that weekend & may be able to get local press and local tv coverage on site? At least big up the 2013 launch which will do the 1/2 mil & therefore should should get some press coverage, perhaps even national - someone must know someone??
You have created a hell of a powerful brand in h4hrally, they are not doing you a favour but vice versa.
Use the force! | |

| Another thing... Live are very open to pressure from their traders, that's where they make most of their money.
It wouldnt hurt to try to get some support from some of the traders that are attending. I dont know if Devon are attending but they carry a lot of weight in the show world...

| Dan, Can you add us to the list, it may be that Edie will be there for most of the weekend but may only be able to manage one day, due to TA Annual Camp commitments. Cheers, | |

| Dan,
Please add the Hotchkiss to the list I'll be there with Ray.
Last month I would not have chanced driving the Jeep on such a long journey from Swindon to Peterborough in one go.
But now after the last couple of weeks .............a piece of p###!
