The band of brothers series is excellent!!

You'll visit several of the locations en-route!

Band of brothers... ????
That was based in Hatfield and around here wasnt it...
Gits scared the life out of me one evening with the sound of a full artilery barrage followed by a few low flying planes.
Sounded as though the Pikeys were taking their poaching to a new level by dynamiting the Deer!

PS, Chaps - a tip for the event.... Read the question!
Sadly i will not have a TV/DVD combination in my tent during the event - although come to think of it, There is a 12v telly in the back of the lock up somewhere

Books are the future. Shockproof, cordless, no batteries reqd. easy to use bookmark feature - you mark my words, they'll be back in a few years

Grab yourself a copy of the Band of Brothers CD set and a laptop. A good few hours of great viewing, also try A Bridge to Far.

Actually, anybody got a projector that connects to a laptop, we could run a nightly show

Ha - Yep I remember that; and just before we entered Germany.

Mark - Dick Winters' own book that you mention, Beyond the BoB, is also a good read; and worthwhile.
