Actually, that really is quite freaky. I still have the cow & gate ID bracelet they put on my wrist when I was born and it confirms the time

Awoke in the hotel (still working away from home) with a fairly impressive cider-induced hangover to find the laptop still switched on and the tv blaring. A true Alan Partridge hotel experience Off for a curry tonight at a Sri Lankan place that's gluten free so don't get too near your monitors tomorrow - I'm going to stink

Snow, I pay for it myself so settled for a 4*. As I've been staying there on and off for 8 months now, they kindly upgraded my room with all the posh shampoos and soaps (so that's the wife's birthday present sorted) and a rather nice towelling dressing gown for this week. And they all signed a birthday card, which they made me open when I checked in. All very embarrassing....

If you have to work in Crawley, it's worth paying for a decent bolt-hole!

Arora in Crawley - although looks like this contract may be wrapping up in the next few days so a couple of weeks at home, then time to start hitting the internet and the phone to find the next piece of work.

And yes, self employed. I do contract work mostly in banking, pensions and insurance. I get to see all the great parts of the UK: Peterborough, Milton Keynes, Telford, Basingstoke, Swindon, Crawley.....
