17th/18th March British Indoor Show Stafford show ground - H4H Rally Stand will be there. I'll be there with the L200 OC too.

7th/8th April Convoy For heroes Prestwold Hall, Leicestershire LE12 5SQ ........ H4H Rally Teams in large numbers - great weekend for a get together .... see ya there.

10th June H4H 4x4 Caple Autojumble.

8th/9th September LRO Show Peterborough The 2013 H4H Rally Launch and Rally Re-union. See ya all there.

6th/7th October Adventure Overland Show Maybe worth a visit for ideas and kit etc...

Hi Keith, Tim 'n' all ...

Just noticed this thread so thought I'd join in. If H4H Rally wants to have a promotion at ADVENTURE OVERLAND you're most welcome (for those who don't know me I'm the organiser by the way).

I can understand why you're leaning towards the LRO Show at Peterborough, especially as Abingdon 4x4 Festival is no longer an option, but as ADVENTURE OVERLAND is an 'all marques' affair, not solely Land Rovers, wouldn't it make more sense to officially launch H4H Rally 2012 at my event? If nothing else, it would be far more interesting to owners of Jap and Jeep vehicles.

Also, ADVENTURE OVERLAND is far more in keeping with the adventurous concept of H4H Rally, an event where you're far more likely to be in the company of like-minded people and therefore the potential for new teams joining up is far greater.

We even have a Club Camping Area where communal barbeques, get-togethers and parties are positively encouraged ... I kid you not. In the "Camping Meadow" as we call it, there is a Quiet Camping section for families and those who want a more peaceful night, thus leaving the clubs to have a good time without disturbing their neighbours; makes perfect sense to me, don't know why other show organisers don't adopt a similar policy!

As for Berkshire 4x4 Show, I'd disagree with Sandy - insomuch that village garden fetes are far better organised than this so-called 'event'. I booked in there last year, sent off the trade stand booking form with a few of weeks to go but received no answer. Not the first time for shows I have to say, this is nothing unusual.

Anyway, turned up there on the Thursday in driving rain to set up for the Friday when the general public start turning up, only to be told that not only did they not receive my booking form/cheque in the post, the show was now "completely full up". What ... it's a massive empty field? Sure some of the turf was allocated to a few clubs and traders, but the feedback I got the following week was that the 'showground' was virtually empty! Strange way to run a show??? Having spent the time and effort (not to mention a 100 mile 'round trip) only to be refused entry upon arrival, I will never go back or advertise them again on 4x4 Calendar. I will however do my upmost to ensure nobody else falls into the same trap as me. Grrrrrr!!!!!

Hi Tom - Great to hear from you and a mega thanks re the kind offer about the Adventure Overland Show. I'm certain it will be a great event and hope that it goes well.

Diaries are tight for many and pennies are tight for even more, thus, we'll aim keep to our current plans for the H4H 4x4 rally reunion/2013 launch at the LRO Show in Peterborough. If they change of course we'll take you up - no doubt some of the more local rally teams will pop along to your show anyway and I'm sure you will make them welcome.

Re the Berks 4x4 Show I have to say we have had no comms or other issues whatsoever with the organisers who are trying hard to enhance the show. Not easy in the current climate. We've been offered a slot there again; however the show's charitable focus is for a nearby hospital, so, as we represent H4H it wouldn't be right to distract from their chosen cause.

Convoy for Heroes, i am earlies on the 7th (finish at 3pm) and nights on the 8th (start at 11pm) so i might even get away with that!
