Land Rover confirms support again for the 2012 rally

Tim and I were invited by Land Rover to today's In Schools 4x4 Finals. A brilliant day seeing kids use their inventive and team skills in making a working 4x4 model car; and then putting it through a range of tests. Our engineers of the future for sure.

On the rally front; great news. Whilst there JLR confirmed their continued support for the rally and the H4H cause and they will be providing two vehicles for the organisers of the Help for Heroes 4x4 European Rally for the 2012 event.

I was thinking about letting them be the first cars to do the (deleted - section information) to see if the wooden planks over the gorge were strong enough Rolling Eyes

D4s - the Evoque would be good but couldn't carry the all the kit we bring with us! 300kgs of roadbooks and 300kgs of other documents is a start let alone all the equipment etc! The D4 ticks all the boxes.

and of course, Tims rubbish camping admin needs the space too.....

While I think LRs involvement in the rally is great. Some of the other manufacturers could learn a lesson here ....
