| CB Radios , come in very handy when i go laning with Discobasher and friends and they make for great banter .. Also help if your lost or giving a heads up on situations ,, Love using mine ...
Also came in very handy this year in Croatia with 13 landrover convoy .. When the convoy broke up we were able to keep in touch and get back together .. convoy rule that we used . Were that the lead car would eye the one behind , if a turn was coming up and sight lost you would stop til the other caught sight of you , so that they would know which way to go .. In theory it worked ,, LOL of course somtimes it dont ...

| A big YES to CB's - you'll find them very useful!!!!! Make sure it has the EU option on it - once off the ferry you'll need to switch from UK to EU frequencies. | |

| They're fine in France, but only if you have an EU set. They did away with their licence some years back and replaced it with a sales tax. Not sure about Germany, Belgium and Holland. Having a dig around t'interwebs at the moment to see if I can find anything that looks like something better than guesswork. | |

| Always had a cb in my truck, good for staying in touch, directions, and some good banter etc... etc... As said, EU channels needed outside the UK. Did a 12 car convoy arcoss part of Europe a while ago and it was great giving guidance to those who had never done such a trip before. Also helped while away the long distance boredom. Pretty much a dead means of comms in this country now, except for specific uses such as ours, for laning etc... Tried mine on the M6 the other day (long time since I bothered for "normal" driving) and had nothing for mile after mile, then when close to a built up area, nothing but complete drivel. .... oh and some plonker who insisted in drowning out all the other lunes with some horid music - some things never change. | |

| If you're thinking of buying one, give Jim a call at http://www4x4cb.com and see if he can help out (mention that you saw his details on the H4H 4x4 Rally Forum as well, you never know he might be kind to you ) | |
