Is a CB Radio mandatory?

Hi all,

We think we're almost ready now, just need to know if a CB radio is mandatory. It's the only thing we've yet to sort out and money's getting a little tight (think we'll need it for fuel and exporting salad).

Pete - GPS/Sat Nav is mandatory but not a CB. There are benefits is carrying a CB but we leave it to individual crews to decide. Based on last year very few were without.

The real benefit is if you 'hook up' with another team - and it allows some radio 'banter'.
