A firm fixture in the 4x4 calendar, the British Indoor 4x4 Show is a prime opportunity for off-roaders to get together, talk vehicles and shop for parts and accessories. Run by the makers of Britain's only off roading magazine: Total Off Road, the show is well established as Britain's number one off-road supermarket with loads of exhibitors to shop from - whether you're into laning, racing, winch challenges, overland travel or just having fun in your vehicle.

The 2011 the've got more features planned than ever before, including their challenge arena, a 4x4 auction, two sets of modified vehicles, a huge remote-control rock-crawling display and for the first year ever they'll be offering talks on off roading subjects such as safe winching and considerate green laning. As it's now a two day show, you'll be able to camp on site this year, and between now and the show we'll be highlighting all the many off roading attractions in the Midlands.

The Z2 Organisers' Discovery 4 is already on the stand - and the DVD of the 2010 rally is running.

Great to see the 15 or so teams (or parts of teams) from 2010 and 2011 at the show at the w/e. Also pleased to see that the 2010 gang didn't appear to deter the 2011 newbies from taking part in the rally. Ha.

Thanks to all those who turned up.

Also our thanks to the 'Northern' 2011 marshals; Liz, Rob, Mike, Richie and James for also helping out and for their brill input at the marshals' meeting.

Oh, and the rumours that we just follow last years route are completely true, so I'll start copying the roadbooks from last year and will be selling them, in advance of the trip, for a few squids of donations to my charity page.

Tim, selling the Z2 for £3 was a bit cheap, I would have offered £5, just to boost funds. But I'm sure it will be happy in it's new home in Dublin. How was the walk home?

Good to see all the faces, old and new. I hope the horror stories (which Keith and Tim didn't hear us telling) don't put too many of the Class of 2011 off.

We were lucky (??) to get our L200 Club stand next to the H4H Rally stand, so there was a bit of banter all weekend. I still firmly believe that I only need to carry a spare set of light bulbs and only because it's a legal requirement in some countries.

Good time had by all, I'm sure. Roll on the Convoy weekend in a couple weeks or so. More diversionary tactics ...
