| Well.. all it needs is a cheap decent Tx box and a couple of hours work... oh... and a new UJ for the front propshaft.
Fingers crossed... but we may have to drop out... don't particularly want to go round in the LSE... no snorkel... A/T's... standard height... Can hear all sorts of polishing noises happening!
Will keep you up to date.

| Learned something today... learned if the juice gets squeezed out of the transfer box... it goes bang...!
Took the dead one out... tipped it up to move it across the floor... and heard a rattle as broken teth tumbled down the inside... drier than Saddam's flip flop in a drought!
On the upside... got a replacement on fleabay for £8.50...!
Tommorow's job is putting it in!

Or so I heard. Yeah.. he was promptly evicted by the bailifs as he couldn't keep up with the rent after buying a brand spanking new transfer box!!!!

| Probably far too late but if you're stuck there's a 200Tdi Transfer Box sat in my garage, far as I know in working order. I got the whole assembly with the engine I was after. Kept it 'cos you never know when you might need another bucket of bolts! It's a Land Rover thing. | |

Thanks Mike... but the £8.50 (I just have to keep saying it!) is doing a sterling job now it's in! See you in Wiltshire!

| Mike - Great to see the camaraderie in place already. Two matters re this chain of posts: 1. We discourage banter between the LR gang and the Jap 'n Jeep crowd 2. Frank thinks that £8.50 is a bit on the expensive side for a Transfer Box | |
