New toy to the fleet. Only went to get a few landrover spares and found this in the corner of the yard. Thought it would be fun so bought it
Its a tracked Rapier Missile system 14 tonne meant to be a quicker into service than the towed rapier. May go out and set a few fireworks off from the stanctions

I know we've got an open export licence for the military vehicles taking part in the H4H 4x4 rally; but my gut feeling is that a low key conversation over a cognac with the mayor of Arromanches re the parking might resolve the matter better that using the Rapier system!

Believe it or not I have a reputation, not a high one I must admit, but a reputation nevertheless. For sure, with you at the helm and the firing controls, that vehicle is not going out of the UK under my Export Licence!

Its not that bad honest any more lip and i'll pop round with it on L plates and upset your neighbours more than you turning up in a Mitsi.

'arronmanches" yes I remember arriving there to find the 4/5 vehicles in front of me having made their way to the 360 but my path blocked by the mayor. After a few minutes polite discussion, parked my truck in the car park and went back to discussions, not really helped by TIM's assertations of " I'm English.Speak to me in English!" ( wont repeat the mayors reply.) Anyway after much discussion we resolved the situation and we all parked free ,although not where we originally wanted. Or did we ?
Today,put on a jacket haven't worn since that day, put hand in pocket and found my receipt for the 3euro fee I paid.

And nope - we didn't get to park where we wanted; we simply caused the car park to go into overflow mode; the very thing that we would have avoided under 'Plan A'! ha

Sandy - not a bad idea - as the sweeper vehicle! For sure you'll be able to clear away any of the (rally) cars blocking any byways.
