H4H 4x4 European Rally 2011 will launch at the LANDROVERmax! 2010 Show 28-30 August

Good Luck Folks, I hope it all goes OK and the weather picks up a bit for you.

Wish I could be there, but I'm working this weekend (Still got to pay the fuel bill for the Jeep )

We're just finishing loading up and then we'll be off to Land Rover to pick up the Disco 4 then on our way to the show - see you all there

Just finishing chucking a few bits in the caravan and we're on the way.

Great show, good to meet you all, had a fun time, thanks to who ever left some beers by me caravan, they will be safely stored away later tonight, seems quiet here now, and the weather is great, just after you all left.

See you all soon, you will need passports when you come over to Wales.

Was almost like being back on the rally...only colder!

It was like we'd never been away! Great to meet the 'family' again and to set the scene for the Class of 2011.

Huge thanks to Tony for chaining himself to the BBQ for umpteen meals (including brekkie) and of course to Teef and Kim for simply being.

Looking forward to the next reunion.



BTW, did anyone happen to put a folding picnic table to one side for safe keeping? We were one short when it came to packing.

We've unpacked the car and I'm now washing all the sleeping bags etc to stash away until the summer.No more camping for us.Way too cold now at nights now.Brrrrrrrrr!

Whoever brought the firepit along...thank you! kept us warm in the evenings for a few hours while we all chatted ...and giggled (me mainly) and drank (not me for a change).

I have a few photo's if I can work out how to put them on here (new phone).So i'll give that a go later.


We all stood in the wind and rain,between sunny spells, handing out rally leaflets and shaking our tins at people, who sometimes very kindly dropped some coins in, so hopefully we made a few more quid for the H4H pot.

What a fantastic weekend, so good to see everyone again and to have all the memories come flooding back.

Jack's DVD is absolutely brilliant, thanks for all the hard work that obviously went into it.

Sounds like there's going to a lot of new faces on next years rally, hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

As ever, the LR vs Jap banter was as good as it's ever been - wait for the pics !!!

Agreed with the DVD is a must for everyone who attended the rally and anyone you think would benefit from a copy. Great weekend nice to see all the old faces(no not just you Keith )
Jujst goes to show what an event like this brings to us all.

Well guys; what a turnout – absolutely fantastic. I think we can officially regard the reunion of the ‘Class of 2010’ a resounding success. 19 cars/crews attended + 3 of the organisers/marshalling teams; an amazing 45 people ‘passing through’; some for the entire w/e.
Tim & I really appreciated the time you put in – and were delighted you found the show venue without the aid of Tulips! Ha.
Mega thanks to Dominic for the invite to the show and the arena exposure given to the rally; both in displaying the rally vehicles and chatting to the crew as well as announcing the launch of 2011. Dominic also arranged a ‘Land Rover’ quiz on the Saturday evening – with the proceeds of £125 going to H4H. Whilst on the thanks front we mustn’t forget Tony ‘Nigella Lawson’ Knott for the 2 tremendous BBQs he put on for us as well as the full monty brekkie yesterday morning. All were feasts – and thanks to all who contributed. Many thanks also to Rob Barker for his ‘cinema’ tent – used for continuous showing on our show stand of the rally DVD; in itself a great crowd drawer. For sure Jack has produced an amazing synopsis of the rally – a film you MUST see.

That, in effect now wraps up the Help for Heroes 4x4 European Rally 2010. We have already moved on to 2011 – that class has a massive challenge ahead to meet the standards set; but isn’t that what it is all about?
From Rhiannon, Tim and me take care – and many many thanks for the huge efforts you all put in on behalf of H4H; not forgetting the fantastic fun and memories you’ve all given to the organising team; memories that will not fade.

What can we say, except a BIG thank you to all of the organising and support teams for the 2010 event. The bar has been set, here's looking forward to 2011.

Got home today, had a great time, just got to sort out now how to remove bits of truck out of the side of the caravan, Truck on motorway thought he should have all three lanes, Mmmmmm, I knew that tank tape would come in handy.

As long as your ok thats the main thing insurance can pick up the bits

Fantastic weekend guys, great to see you all again. Luke & Jo had a great time and apparently Luke has been telling everyone abojut the mad driving on the off road course!

Couple of minor admin points:
I may have inherited a folding chair (green with grey chassis) if you are missing one
I handed out two red rattle cans on the weekend and can't remember (woinder why?!) who to. They have no seals on the top so if you have inherited one, can you please let me know... just in case they ask for them back!

Even though we swapped one with you, I think that might be ours as we came home with 3 out of the 4 we took, plus an odd one !!!!
