I know your going to kill me for this

Can anyone give me the definitive check list from the organsiers (Tim's) point of view. It's the paper bit of the license that got me worried, do I need this, ain't got a clue where that is !

That's the only licence I have.
I never bothered to get the card one.

Yes I have the plastic one with me photo on it. but I have read here that I need the paper part too. never quite understood why they make you get a plastic one with your pic on it and you still need your paper one to do things like this. Anyhows . . . .

I have just spoken to the DVLA and it has cost £20 to get another paper copy . . . GREAT ! .... and hopefully it will arrive by Friday, lets hope so. Alternatively they are prepared to Fax your organiser to say that you have a valid license at a cost of £5.00.

That will teach me not to file things away properly. Should have stuck with my old paper license, but being in English and welsh it was like a piece of wallpaper !

Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Sorted my replacement out on Saturday 5th June and it arrived Thursday 10th June, so get online (you'll need your passport number) and order it asap. The original had an argument with a lawnmower and lost.

hi Alan, All done on line at the cost of 20 squid, the guy on the other end told me it takes 48 hours to process and then they chuck it at the mercy of the post office in first class. So with a fair wind and a dose of good luck I may just make it. I will of course turn the house upside down again tonight. I could kick myself.

It's not the organisers that need to see it, apart from being on the scrutineers sheet for the following reason.
It's the law in most European countries that you carry it and can produce it, if required. Heavy penalties for not being able to. Same for any vehicle document, insurance/MOT/log book (or owners authority to drive said vehicle).

hi had to send my liance to santander for a loan still not gt it back had to phone dvla on monday cost of 20 of our english pounds ahhh hope it comes bfore thursday if not and on saterday we get to the scrutenering can we still go or do we get fired off the rally?
