How many teams will be taking/using CB's? Is it worth my buying one? and if so ,which? Don't want to spend a fortune as can't see much other use for it, but not knowing anything about CB's, am quite baffled by the array on sale and wonder which one I need,if any.

http://www.uk4x4centre.co.uk/cb-radio-4x4/cb-starter-packs/midland-38-starter-pack-ideal-trucker-4x4-or-agricultural-kit/prod_354.html are sponsors of the rally and can sort you out with a CB and antenna for a decent price. Mention you're taking part in the rally when you speak to them Cool

You'll want something that can work on the EU channels to be legal in mainland europe (although not many people bother with that little distinction.....)

Tonic,

A CB is a key part of any outing... how else are we gonna take the mick out of the japs'n'jeeps when they are slipping and sliding all over the place?!

Seriously, they help break up the monotony, provide a source of entertainment, and as we'll no doubt end up a little scattered... is a good way to get some reassurance, redirection and rescue!

Go spend £40 to £80 and get your self kitted out.. once you've got it... you'll wonder why you hesitated.

Just one note to having one theres no Scottish filter or mute button for bill mute bill............

Having one though I think might be essential for the rally, think you have to have one?!?

The banter on them is going to be great!!!

I presume we'll have an official "guard" channel for urgent assist and warnings and leave the banter to other channels?

I'm guessing there will be a main channel for that kinda stuff, but considering the scale of the event i'd say we would maybe need to stay on that with clean banter..... Or strip off a banter channel for the adult
