| OK, on the back of this topic ...... I have a small, but well equiped workshop in the Wallasey/Birkenhead area of North Wirral (Postcode area CH41). 2 post lift, tools (especially big hammers and lever bars etc...) - no seriously, there's not much that I can't cope with, welding equip, fault code diagnostics, etc... etc... I'm happy to offer the use of the workshop, tools etc... and my time, by prior arrangement, in the weeks running up to the event - unfortunately only at weekends though. It is possible from the end of April that I may be working back closer to home, so evenings may become viable. Servicing, repairs etc... etc... Don't really want to get into major MOT failure rebuilds, but other than that, pretty much anything goes. I'm off on the MAC at the beginning of March, and already have most of the rest of March booked up for other things. So ..... from after Easter (first weekend of April) I can offer weekend workshops. One weekend in April will be dedicated to an L200 Owners Club Workshop Weekend, but other than that, the doors can be thrown open. There's room inside for 3 vehicles, including one on the lift. With enough warning, I can order parts in if needed. How about if I offer parts at trade cost + say 10% donated to my justgiving page (assuming I can any parts needed), plus a donation for the use of the place ?? I guess it doesn't have to be limited to event vehicles, although they would take priority over non event vehicles. Thoughts please - would this be of use/help. | |

| Nick - A brill offer; and really great for the event. Thanks for that and ace idea re the JustGiving element. Let's leave it as a forum post only for the moment - to gauge take-up then we'll copy & paste it to the next Newsletter.
I'm not doing this year's Mac (good luck on it) - but Tim will be; Car 13, as usual.

| Anyone else up for a day or two messing with servicing the trucks prior to the event? BBQ etc... during the day(s) too.
It'll have to be 15/16 or 22/23 May (I'm away bank holiday), or 5/6 June - how does that fit with you Richie?
As I've said, any parts anyone wants me to supply will be at cost, plus a donation (10% ??) to my H4H funds.
2 post lift, tools etc... etc... all at disposal.
