| lockers are for girls!!!! center diff is all you need!!! and a heavy right foot, lockers are for people that cant drive ;-) hence why merc put them all round in the G wagons
good set of M/Ts center diff lock, and you dont need a lift in a 90 but other unworhty jap cars might need a lift,
id had got up there like going up a kerb!

| having a front and rear diff lock is the same as a center difflock?!?! anyway to easy in a defender, no challenge, may aswell get out and walk, would be more comfortable!!! first time i drove a defender i hurt myself closing the door, i always though defender drivers were trying to look cool with their arm hanging out the window in ALL weather, then i found out they have no choice!!! the door is where ya arm should be!lol | |

no no no center lock the drive shafts front and rear, so if you dont have grip at rear front pulls out etcr, lockers on axels will lock the half shafts together in the axel diffs, so both wheels on axel turn together center lock on ill cross axel if i dont have the reach im going no where if you have lockers on yea axel you go push the button and drive out a cross axel situation, the new landrovers have lockers all round for ulimate offroading performance and the car turns them on and off when needed, the other reason for no having lockers fitted after the 600 for the unit, you will eat halfshafts from brecky, and uprated one when then go the snap in half and are buggers to remove!! farmerl200 dont you have rear locks as standard?! mum old pajero had rear locker as standard could have be an optional extra, as no centre diff

| L200 has centre "lock" by the nature of the transfer box (it's not a differential). As with any transfer box, this locks the front and rear drive shafts together, therefore giving a guaranteed minimum 2 wheel drive (one front, one rear) or more, depending how badly it's cross axled or lost traction. This is the same on most 4x4s, unless it has a true centre differential - which needs locking to prevent different rotation speeds of the front and rear propshafts. Front or rear diff locks lock the axle differential output shafts together. In the case of some L200 models (some had it as standard - Warrior for example, some as an option), rear differential lock was available, therefore giving a guaranteed 3 wheel drive. Fit a front locker, and hey presto, true 4x4. | |

if he had lockers on the axels he would sail through, or longer suspension and cones to allow major articulation, which once i get offroad again i should have with 12" reach shocks and dislocation cones!
*awaits JJ with Gwagon videos* That wouldn't happen in an L200 that has rear diff lock

| landrover lock the props together, giving same speed front and rear, so the transfer box also acts as a diff,
so all id need is front and rear diff lockers to get "true 4x4" but then there isnt much challenging stuff off-road for us landrovers ;-)

*awaits JJ with Gwagon videos* That wouldn't happen in an L200 that has rear diff lock only cause you need one in inferior cars

| meh its cause they couldnt drive!!! its all about grip!!
but if i had money flowing out the door, id invest in front and rear lockers, just for those annoying occasions like once a year when i get stuck,
im gonna regret a lot of things once we all get on a p&p site on the rally, its gonna be follow the leader and who ever gets stuck gets left behind!!!
