Who watched TOP GEAR?!?!?!

WOW what a road! im taking the stelvio pass on the return journey from berchtesgaden, but its no longer the top gear greatest driving road in the world! Romania is a bit out of the way though! that aston looks lovely, my toyota is better though!

could be a destination for next rally!!!!

Stuart - Not done the Romanian road but have done the Stelvio; personally I think the Stelvio is better; far more hairpins. You'll enjoy.

Yep - saw the Romanian coverage; a great road but it seemed flater; as said by the Hamster, parts of it looked like a racing track. Not so the Stelvio - that's all about hairpins and views.

I am with Keith the Stelvio is a great road did it a couple of years ago on the bike,what a blast.

hmmm that road and a bike hmmmmmm wonder if the life insurance is upto date

Did the Stelvio last September and it was nerve racking enough.
Good knows what it would be like in the tourist season...........

doing this pass too in switzerland! looks nice, and get to see some glaziers too!

I didnt see Top Gear but I just looked at your map of where you are going in Swizerland the bit near Belveder (Furka) looks outsatnding!!!! JJ

The Stelvio is a great road. Enjoyed the road up to it from Davos as well . We went from Lovely sunshine in shorts and T's to deep snow at the top (see the photo in my avtar) great fun in the 110 had a go in one of the vans with Brian James behind that was fun.

We did the Grimsel Pass a few years ago in a Scimitar convertible - glorious June sunshine, not a cloud in sight with roof down and really warm. What was surreal was passing the frozen lake and a foot of snow all around! Amazing.

I presume the trailer was on a test run in prep for the H4H 4x4 European Rally? How many L/Rs will it be able to carry?

Mini was great fun and got loads of attention where ever we went. Nervous with it in Rome I was glad to be in the 110 playing protector to the little one

Trailer was only there for the fleet of old cars we were supporting. Needed as a couple of them were Japanese 3500miles and not used apart from scaring people

I do!!!! It is one of my first memories!!! How sad is that!!! I even went on to buy an M20 and then a M21 with sidecar in around 1970!! Wish I had them now!! JJ

One I knocked up earlier I suggested we Camo one up (we have 6 or 7 still ) lots of patrols ended up on the beachs we will be visiting in June(and never came back) and there are a few guys (TA) out in the badlands at the mo.
Bit of respect and all that!

It went down well at the Lord Mayors parade last week. It ran along side a Yellow one and a few more of the fleet.
