Hotel - Night Before the Rally 2014

To all 2014 Help for Heroes 4x4 European Rally crews

We hope you are all well - We've been asked about accommodation arrangements for the evening prior to the start of the rally. The start location, Littlecote House Hotel, is a Warner's Leisure hotel and isn't used by the rally crews due to a minimum booking of 3 nights stay and no children.

A tradition seems to have developed where the long haul crews tend to stay at the Premier Inn Swindon West (J16, M4) on the Friday night; and then eat circa 8pm; this dining occasion is then used to hatch plots against the rally's organisers and marshals!!

Of course this is wholly outside of the rally and many crews travel to the start on the Saturday morning.

To help with your planning; - Scrutineering on Saturday 14th June will open at 0830hrs and close at 1030hrs. The is no flexibility with this two hour period and you are advised to arrive in the early part of the timing window.

The thing is to book up approx three months before as this is when you'll be likely to get the deals as at the moment the cheapest price is approx £52.00 for the night before the off.I did an enquirery for the 13th of Dec and the cheapest was £29.00!!!!!

I doubt that, weve already had our wages in advance, anyway, where else would you find such a dedicated, hard working crew that would put up with those pesky competitors?

The underground comms seems to be working well though. Already got the organisers and marshalls at each other
